Grabbing coffee and checking out a local park

We were out of coffee this morning, so I desperately needed to find a reason to get out of the house to get some! What better way to find an excuse than to say "Hey Eliza, want to go to the park? We can stop by Starbucks and get you a chocolate milk and I'll get a coffee. Then we can go play at a playground." She was excited about this idea. Chocolate milk and playgrounds are 2 of her most favorite things in the world. Oh, and riding in the Weehoo is pretty exciting, too!

We started off our ride today with the Shadowridge Rd climb, which is much more tame than climbing out the Lupine Hills way. Lupine Hills climb may be shorter, but it's much steeper, and so hard with a Weehoo when you're just starting the ride. Maybe when I'm in better shape and a stronger climber, Lupine Hills won't bother me as much, but for now, I'm always happy to start a ride out somewhere on Shadowridge Road!

So our ride was great. I had an iced coffee and Eliza had chocolate milk. We sat outside and talked with a teenage boy who commented on our Weehoo by saying "What is that thing?" I'm always game for talking about how much we love our Weehoo with anyone who asks! We left Starbucks and rode 2 blocks away to South Buena Vista Park. We had a lot of fun there. Cool play structure!

I didn't take any pictures of this ride, so I'll just finish this with our Strava summary:
